on a thin skied, full mooned february day
the glacier reaches her heart
and shes cold for a moment
the needles of time and space
look chaos in the face
and are blinded

then for a second
she leans her head into her knees
and tiny shiny tears fall out onto her cheeks

and then all falls silent
and she can only hear her breathing
clear, healthy, thriving
and she notices how happy she's been
how funny everything is
and she looks into the mirror
how wonderfully humorous you look!
and then she smiles
deep, warm, beautifully
because she's been released.
