Basic Vegan Cake
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup soymilk

bake at 375 for 30min-1hr in GREASED pan.

2 C flour
1/2 C brn sugar
1/2 C sugar
1/4 C soymilk/water
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
cinnamon

the very important steps:
1. mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in large bowl. set aside
2. in a smaller bowl, mix sugar, oil, add vanilla and soymilk. Mix well.

3 C carrots
1/2 C brn sugar
1 C whole wheat flour
1 C white flour
2 t baking soda
2 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1 C yogurt
4 egg whites
1/2 C orange juice
2 t vanilla extract

325 degrees, 9 x 13 in pan. GREASE!


Punkin' Pie
2 eggs
1 can (16 oz) pumpkin
3/4 C sugar
1/2 t salt
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ground ginger
1/4 t ground cloves
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. beat eggs in large bowl. stir in remaining ingredients.
3. pour into pie shell.

Bake @ 425 for 15 minutes.
Reduce to 350 degrees.
bake for 40-50 minuts or until knife inserted near center comes out clean


Basic Pie Crust (white flour)
1 1/2 C flour
1/2 C shortening
1/2 t salt
3 T ice water

1. mix flour and salt, cut shortening into mixture until it looks like leetle peas
2. add water and combine with fork
3. gather and flatten into 4 inch disk
4. wrap in plastic, refrig for 30 min.

one bunch parsley
tomatoes
bunch of scallions
1 1/2 lemons juiced
1/2 C olive oil or to taste

Laura's Romanian Crepes
1 C flour
2 eggs
4 T sugar
dash salt

1. mix eggs and flour mixture until the eggs SUCK IT ALL UP
2. mix 1/2 C (125 mL) milk plus 1/2 C (125 mL) water
and 2 T oil. 3. add oil/ milk to flour mixture little by little Easy Pot Pie from the Bisquick Boxxx
1 2/3 C frozen mixed veggies
1 C cut up tofu or chicken
1 C condensed cream of something soup
1 C bisquack!
1/2 C milk
1 egg

Heat oven to 400 degress. Mix veggies, chicken/tofu, and soup in ungreased 9 in pie plate
Stir remaining ingredients. Pour nito pie plate.
Bake about 30 minutes or until golden brown

Fruit-filled oatmeal bars
crust
1 C flour
1 C quick oats
2/3 C brown sugar
1/4 t baking soda
1/2 C butter

filling
peel, core and chop 2 apples
add 2 T sugar, 1 T lemon juice, 1/2 t cinnamon + cloves
simmer 8-10 minutes

Bake at 350 degrees, 30-35 min, 9 x 9 pan


Falafel
-in a large bowl, combine 1 C falafel mix with a little over 1/2 C Water.
-let stand 10 min.
-form into 1 inch balls
-pour oil into heavy skillet or saucepan "to a depth of 1/2 in."
-heat to 350 degrees, add falafel and fry till golden brown!
-makes 15?


White Sauce
2 T butter
2 T flour
1 C milk
salt
herbs

1. melt butter in saucepan
2. stir in flour (cook 3 min)
3. stir in milk, with wire whisk
4. season with herbs.
